Presentations on Wednesday 4th June 2014

This evening we presented cheques for £300 to each of the following local groups:
Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve who plan to use the money towards improving  disabled access along the meadow trail at the nature reserve.
1st Little Paxton Scout group who plan to use the money towards various projects.
1st Little Paxton Beaver Group who also plan to spend the money on various projects

Little Paxton Scarecrow festival 2014

This years festival was once again a great success! Despite the very blustery, occassionally wet weather we had a good day and managed to raise £1,270.55!
We would like to thank everybody who came out to support us.

The winning scarecrows this year were:

1st prize of £20 and a trophy for  "The reluctant gardener" by Susan Humphreys
2nd prize of £15 and a trophy for "Humpty Dumpty" by Leigh Williams
3rd prize of £10 and a trophy for "The Minions" by Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve

Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all those who made scarecrows this year.

Thank you to T.L.Cobbold of St. Neots who very kindly donated the prize money and trophies for our lucky winners.

Thank you also to Mass Consultants who judged our scarecrows this year and very generously gave a donation of £100 and a £5 prize to all this years scarecrow makers.
